Open Quote The school is all about positive reinforcement and pushing the students to be their best. The principal Ms. Swick knows the names, faces, and personalities of not only each and every student but many of thier family members as well. They strive to remain at the top of the Milwaukee Public School System in regards to test scores, educational opportunities (they still provide a music and art program). Recently, they redid the outdoor area to include a "green" area which includes a plot of grass and trees for the students to play on and enjoy during warm weather. The school and PTO host multiple family functions throughout the year that are fun for all ages. Ms. Swick has worked in cooperation with the Admirals to create a reading incentive program that rewards the students monthly for their independent reading. They are continue to stive to keep families involved in the education process of the children as well as make education fun and well rounded for the children. When funding was in jepordy last year, Ms Swick rallied the parents and teachers to go to the school board and fight for the funding. She truly cares about the school and its students and stives to ensure that all who work there do the same. Close Quote
