Weston Elementary is the only elementary school in the Weston School District, serving grades PK–6 to 117 students in Cazenovia, Wisconsin. Because it is the district's sole elementary school, the district's elementary figures and the school's figures are the same. The district overall is ranked 326 of 432 Wisconsin districts, placing it in the 25th percentile with 1 star.
Attendance is the school's clearest strength. In 2024–25, chronic absenteeism was just 7.1%, compared with 19.6% in the district and 17.3% statewide — less than half the district rate, and notable given that 59.83% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Resources also look favorable on paper: a 10:1 student-teacher ratio and $23,052 in per-student spending. Academically, the 2025–26 4th grade is a bright spot, with ELA and Math both at 58.82% proficiency (above the state's 53.87% and 52.87%) and Science at 64.71%, well above the state's 53.46%. Social Studies was 64.71%, essentially even with the state. The school's rank also improved from 767 of 1044 (27th percentile, 1 star) in 2024–25 to 716 of 1039 (31st percentile, 2 stars) in 2025–26.
Other results are weaker. Only 3 of 10 reported assessments in 2025–26 beat the state. Fifth grade ELA came in at 21.43% versus 53.63% statewide, with Math at 28.57% versus 51.81%, and 3rd grade Math was 30% versus 54.75%. In 2024–25, 4th grade ELA was 13.33% and Science 20%, both far below state. Rank fell from the 50th percentile in 2023–24 to 27th in 2024–25, recovering only partly to 31st. With small grade cohorts, a few students can swing percentages sharply, so single-year results should be read with caution. The overall picture is strong attendance and generous staffing, with uneven academic results that vary a great deal by grade and year.
