Summary

Cascade View Elementary is a K-6 public school serving 412 students in the Snohomish School District, a well-regarded district ranking in the state's top 20%.

The school presents a mixed academic profile, with its standout strength being science, where its proficiency rate exceeds both the district and state averages and is competitive with higher-ranked schools like Seattle Hill Elementary and Dutch Hill Elementary. However, its English and math scores are generally below the district average. It's important to note the school has shown a clear, positive trajectory, improving its state ranking significantly over the past eight years. Performance also varies notably by grade, with fifth graders excelling in English while sixth graders face more challenges.

Cascade View operates with considerable resources, boasting a lower student-teacher ratio and higher per-student spending than most nearby schools, including Glenwood Elementary in Lake Stevens School District. The school shows particular effectiveness in supporting students from low-income families, who perform above the school's overall average. When compared to its closest peers within the Snohomish district, Cascade View ranks in the middle of the pack overall but first in science proficiency.

Open Quote Cascade View is an amazing elementary school with one of the most engaging and caring staff I’ve ever met. My kindergartener is having a blast and has come so far in regards to her learning and socializing. I had my doubts with some ratings of this school. But now that I am part of the community, the school speaks for itself. The principle Mr. L is fantastic. Mrs. Fox is honestly one of the most incredible teachers I’ve met. I haven’t met any staff that isn’t kind. On top of that the community is strongly supportive of this great school. I would highly recommend this school as I’ve had great experiences with both my kids (a 2nd grader as well)! Close Quote

Open Quote School is overcrowded. Teachers are rude to the students and parents. The principal doesn't address concerns of bullying or harassment. Instead he tells the everyone that the school is magical and bullies don't exist at the school. There is a no homework policy so you never know if you student is failing or doing well.
