As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Forced religious propaganda on elementary age children. And I mean the really twisted stuff. Pictures of animals in a boat with the words 'The Good News Club' THAT IMAGE IS BASED ON A STORY OF GENOCIDE I wrote the school demanding they cease sending their absolute mindless and fear ridden crap home in my sons weekly folder. They would not (you know how forceful and maniacal those that think their rampaging deity is backing them) I made a complaint to the DISTRICT as they are BREAKING FEDERAL LAW AND HUMAN RIGHTS pushing that insane nonsense onto CHILDREN.

PLEASE CONTACT: ATHEISTS ALLIANCE if your child is still enrolled, or look for a local group that will aid in legal help filing a lawsuit for the rights broken and trying to mind-wash peoples children with their dribble.

I removed my children from this circus. My youngest was put on the wrong bus (he was only 6 and the sub teacher told him to get on it) the nasty creepy office woman at Sunrise laughed when she called me telling me "we dont know where your son is, but he is likely on one of our buses" When I asked her why she was laughing (once I was n office) she rolled her ugly eyes and said to the other person there, 'wow we have a dram mama .we havent lost one yet! " laughed her morbidly obese ass off, turned her back on me and started filing papers. I would not trust a single adult within this district to babysit a rat, let alone your child. Close Quote

Open Quote Love the staff and teachers. The principal does a fantastic job at including respect, friendliness, consideration for others, and self value through activities and representations during assemblies. We receive excellent communication from the school, it couldn't be any better. Personnel really cares for the children. Close Quote

Open Quote My son has gone to sunrise for the last 3 years and i love the school and the teachers. I receive emails from his teachers whenever there is a problem and most times just to let me know how he is doing in class. Sunrise is a very good school. Close Quote

Open Quote My daughter is a first grader at Sunrise. I knew when I put her in school, I wanted her in the Puyallup School District. I have been very pleased with this school. Her teaher has been great communicating with me about any concerns she is having regarding my daughters behavior, performance, etc. My daughter needed additional help with reading, so they enrolled her in a reading program run through Good Samaritan and she has excelled. This school also has many activities like movie nights, math night, bingo night, to really get the kids and parents involved. When my daughter has had to go in to see the school nurse, they have been great about calling me and genuinely seem to care about her well being. I feel that the only down side to this school is that the building is very outdated, but that is very petty and not a concern. I would recommend this school to anyone. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
