Summary

Woodmoor Elementary is a PK–5 school in Bothell, Washington, serving 643 students in the high-performing Northshore School District and located near several well-regarded elementary schools in Northshore and the neighboring Lake Washington School District. The school ranks 382nd of 1,138 Washington schools, placing it in the 66th percentile, while Northshore ranks 12th of 238 districts and in the 95th percentile. Woodmoor is therefore part of a strong district, although its school-level results are more mixed than the district’s overall performance.

Woodmoor’s 2025–2026 test results are close to the state average in English language arts (ELA) at 52.17%, above the state in math at 57.97%, and slightly above the state in science at 54.69%. However, it trails Northshore averages by 21.56 points in ELA, 7.87 points in math, and 17.23 points in science. Math is the school’s strongest current subject, especially in third grade, where 70% of students were proficient. The main concern is fifth-grade math, which fell to 45.31%. ELA is a broader schoolwide challenge: results were similar across grades and declined from 60.89% in 2023–2024 to 52.17% in 2025–2026. Science has remained fairly steady but well below the district average.

Compared with nearby Northshore schools, Woodmoor sits in the middle: it trails Hollywood Hill Elementary and Moorlands Elementary, but ranks ahead of Woodin Elementary; Maywood Hills Elementary ranks between them. Woodmoor is larger and serves a higher share of students qualifying for free or reduced-price meals than most nearby schools, important context when comparing results. Its recent ranking improvement is encouraging, but continued progress will likely depend on strengthening ELA, fifth-grade math, science, and outcomes for economically disadvantaged students.
