Summary

Canyon Creek Elementary is a large, highly-rated public school serving about 866 students from Pre-K through 5th grade in Bothell, WA, as part of the top-performing Northshore School District.

The school is a consistent academic leader, earning a 5-star rating and performing well above state averages, with over 79% of students proficient in English, Math, and Science. While other excellent schools like Fernwood Elementary or Tambark Creek Elementary School may have slightly higher test scores, Canyon Creek stands out for its remarkable consistency year after year and its exceptional strength in upper-grade math, where many nearby schools see a significant drop in proficiency.

Canyon Creek's most distinctive strengths are its outstanding support for specific student groups, ranking in the state's top tier for English Language Learners and, notably, achieving a 94th percentile ranking for Special Education students. The school achieves these excellent results efficiently, as its per-student spending is lower than several comparable schools. For parents, Canyon Creek represents a reliably top-tier choice within an already high-performing region, distinguished by its stable excellence and effective support systems.

Open Quote Teaching standards are very low. My kid is in 2nd grade and teacher hardly do effective teaching of 1 hour in a day. Teacher isn`t well prepared with lectures before class. I personally think teacher don`t have proper knowledge of Math and Science so most of time she leaves kids in breakout rooms to finish assignments. Teacher need more in depth knowledge of subject and desire to teach kids. Terribly bad experience with school. Close Quote
