The most encouraging story is Challenger’s recent progress. Its statewide ranking improved from the 29th percentile in 2024–2025 to the 39th percentile in 2025–2026, while its rating rose from one star to two. The school also led nearby Mukilteo schools in all-grade English language arts and math, with 45.2% and 40.64% proficiency, respectively.
