As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This is one of the worst schools I've dealt with in a long time.

My son was a 3rd grade student here till he was assaulted by the vice principal, Ben Cort. My son tried leaving his office after being in trouble, Ben Cort came up behind my son and put him in a choke hold, and then locked my son in his office for a while to call me. He told me a completely different story than what he told the police when he was interviewed. Since the incident happened in Ben Cort's office with NO witnesses, it was my son's word versus Ben Cort.

If you search other reviews online for this school, you'll find that the staff takes it upon themselves to diagnosis kids with their labels and then put these labels in their permanent files. This is illegal and only when you demand repeatedly that it be change, will they maybe do so.

This school doesn't care about its students or their success. I tried reaching out to the school counselor and she couldn't be bothered with me. I have been lied to by my son's former teacher, the principal, and the vice principal in relation to incidents that occurred with my son. Only when I made it clear I was an actively involved parent, did the stories change.

Ben Cort should not be allowed around children and he said he will restrain children whenever he 'feels' he needs to for whatever reason he decides. He lacks skills with children and prefers to dominate them through reactive, emotional actions.

There is a lot of bullying at this school and the staff is lazy. They do not care and will only discipline the child being bullied.

Find another school. Close Quote

Open Quote This school is to lax when it comes to bullying..my daughter is in the fifth grade and nothing has been done about the kids who are bothering her. It is a huge problem in todays schools and I think there needs to be more emphasis on teaching our kids Respect. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
