The Ellensburg School District includes eight public schools serving about 3,350 students from kindergarten through 12th grade, performing around the middle of all Washington districts with a mix of standout and struggling campuses.

Ellensburg High School is the clear academic leader, ranking in the top 20% of high schools statewide with strong graduation rates and test scores, especially in English and science. Among elementary schools, Valley View Elementary performs the best, while Ida Nason Aronica Elementary faces the greatest challenges with significantly lower test scores.
