As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote As far as the County goes this school is the newest elementary school...I had 2 children here, both of which I withdrew to homeschool. Any more children I have will not go to this county's elementary schools. We had issues with the level of education offered (if your child is advanced or behind academically you will have issues), the fact that they push SOL reviews for at least a month before the tests, and issues with the principal. If you are even told that your child got in trouble (I was not informed twice), be sure to investigate...the person who speaks up first tends to not get in as much trouble-even if they were causing the issues. Most of the teachers there are great but even greatness can be over-shadowed by too many kids per class, not enough resources, and a very controlling principal/vice principal. The PTO is great...they are always trying to raise money to purchase new things for the school...they also run some programs just for the family- game night (which is free), craft night, etc. They just need more parents to be involved in this PTO to make it a HUGE success. About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
