Foothills School is a PK–6 elementary school in Salem, Utah, serving 605 students in the Nebo District. It is one of the larger schools in the area and is located about a mile from both Salem School and Mt. Loafer School. Academically, Foothills is currently one of the strongest schools among the nearby comparisons: it ranked 96th of 563 Utah elementary schools in 2025–26, placing it in the 83rd percentile and earning a four-star SchoolDigger rating.

In every reported 2025–26 RISE result for grades 3–5, Foothills exceeded both district and statewide proficiency rates in English language arts, mathematics, and science. Its approximate average proficiency was 60.3% in ELA, 62.4% in math, and 62.7% in science. Foothills ranked second in the comparison group, just behind East Meadows School, and ahead of Park View School and Canyon School. Its ELA results were especially competitive, while East Meadows led several math and science measures.
