Syracuse Junior High is a large public school serving grades 7–9 in Syracuse, Utah, with 1,216 students in the Davis District. The school ranks 133rd of 217 Utah middle schools, placing it in the 39th percentile with a two-star rating. Its current standing is below the district’s 51st-percentile ranking and remains lower than the school’s stronger results in the late 2010s, although it improved modestly from the 36th percentile in 2024–2025.

Mathematics is the school’s clearest academic challenge. Proficiency was 30.0% in seventh-grade math, 25.0% in eighth grade, and 27.3% in ninth grade—below both district and state results at every level. Ninth-grade math also fell from 43.2% the prior year. English language arts is mixed and generally below district results, though ninth-grade ELA was slightly above the state rate. Science is a notable strength: 62.8% of eighth graders and 55.6% of ninth graders were proficient, both above district and state levels.
