Its strongest features are student completion and mathematics: the 2024–2025 graduation rate was 96.6%, while the dropout rate was 1.7%, both substantially better than Utah averages.

Academically, Viewmont’s 10th-grade mathematics proficiency was 41.8% in 2025–2026, ahead of the district’s 36.0% and the state’s 29.4%. Its ELA proficiency was also slightly above district and state averages at 51.8%, although it fell sharply from 63.9% the previous year. Science is the clearest weakness: proficiency was 32.8%, below both the district and state and lower than nearby Davis High, Farmington High, Woods Cross High, and Bountiful High.
