Lakeridge Junior High is a large public school in Orem, Utah, serving grades 7–9 and 1,344 students as part of Alpine District. For 2025–2026, it ranks 72nd out of 217 Utah middle schools, placing it in the 67th percentile statewide and earning three stars. This makes Lakeridge a solid upper-middle-performing school, although it has not returned to its top-10% rankings from 2015–2017.

Academically, Lakeridge is above Utah averages in eight of nine reported subject-and-grade areas. English language arts is the clearest strength: proficiency is higher than the district average in grades 7, 8, and 9. Seventh-grade science is another standout, with 58.1% of students proficient, more than 10 percentage points above the state rate. Math is adequate compared with Utah overall but less competitive within Alpine District, especially in seventh grade and ninth grade. Ninth-grade math declined from the prior year, while ninth-grade science, ninth-grade ELA, and seventh-grade science improved. Eighth-grade science remains the main subject area below both state and district results.

Attendance has improved dramatically, with chronic absenteeism falling from 30.7% in 2023–2024 to 17.2% in 2024–2025, below both the district and state rates. The student-teacher ratio also improved from 26.1:1 to 24.3:1. Compared with nearby schools, Lakeridge is far behind exceptional Mountain Ridge Junior High, but it is competitive with American Fork Junior High, Pleasant Grove Junior High, and Canyon View Junior High, and substantially outperforms Orem Junior High. Effectiveness improved for English learners, Hispanic students, and students from low-income households; special education performance, at the 28th percentile, is the clearest improvement priority.
