As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote JA won the Sumner Choice Award for Best School 2013 & 2014! Go JA! I'm thankful for teachers who love and truly care about children. Dr A makes everyone feel welcome. I loved volunteering and can't wait for school to start back. My kids love going to art class and going to the new stem science lab. They are already guessing what kind of stem projects they will do this year. Close Quote

Open Quote I have 3 children at Jack Anderson. This is our second year at the school and I am very impressed with most of the teachers so far. I have a 5th grader with an IEP who has made great strides here thanks to his teachers and amazing IEP team. I have a 1st grader who has had new teachers both last year and this year . In her Kindergarden year she did amazing and had positive reinforcement from her teacher. This year I think her teacher lacks personality and understanding of my child and could be more positive in her teaching style, first graders need that.
I also have a 2nd grader who has had two wonderful years at JAE ! His teacher this year is Ms Bagwell I believe she deserves teacher of the year award for her work. She is truly a gifted teacher and should be a mentor for newer teacher. GREAT school GREAT teachers GREAT principal !!! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
