Memphis Rise Academy is a public charter-style school in Memphis, TN, serving 753 students in grades 6 through 12 within the Memphis-Shelby County Schools district, which ranks near the bottom of Tennessee districts. Against that backdrop, the school performs reasonably well: its graduates at an 89.8% rate, essentially matching the state average and outpacing the district by nearly six points. Chronic absenteeism (19.6%) is also far better than the district average of 30.2%, and the school's graduation rate has stayed consistently in the mid-to-high 80s for four straight years.

The school's most distinctive strength is mathematics. In 2025-2026, 57.5% of students scored proficient in all-grades math, more than 2.5 times the district rate of 22.1% and well above the state average of 43.0%.
