Trezevant High School is a large public high school in Memphis, TN, serving 883 students in grades 9–12 as part of Memphis-Shelby County Schools. The school has historically been low-performing, but it is showing real momentum: its state ranking jumped from the 2nd percentile in 2023–2024 to the 14th percentile in 2025–2026, and its graduation rate climbed from 63.0% in 2020–2021 to 83.6% in 2024–2025—now nearly matching the district average of 84.1%.

However, academic proficiency remains a major concern. In English I, only 6.4% of Trezevant students are proficient—the lowest among nearby schools like Craigmont High School (14.4%) and Kingsbury High School (8.6%). Science is also weak, with Biology I proficiency at 15.5%, below Memphis Business Academy High School (17.4%) and Douglass High School (41.5%). Math is relatively less weak: Algebra I proficiency (13.8%) beats Craigmont, KIPP Memphis Collegiate High School, and Memphis Business Academy.
