Zip code 97229 contains 14 schools — 10 elementary, 2 middle, and 2 high schools — almost all served by Beaverton School District 48J, with Forest Park Elementary School in Portland School District 1J and Lenox Elementary School in Hillsboro School District 1J. This is a high-performing area overall, especially in the elementary and middle grades: six elementaries rank in the top 50 of 709 statewide, and both middle schools place in the top 26 of 371.

Two elementaries define the top tier, for different reasons. Forest Park Elementary School is the highest-ranked school in the list at #8 of 709 (99th percentile, 5 stars), with the best ELA (88.4%) and math (81.9%) scores and the lowest poverty rate. Findley Elementary is close behind at #22, posting the top science score (71.4%), the second-best math (77.3%), and by far the lowest chronic absenteeism (9.2%). Bonny Slope Elementary School and Jacob Wismer Elementary School also rank in the top 30 statewide. At the middle level, Stoller Middle School (#15 of 371) leads in ELA and math, while Tumwater Middle School (#26) is stronger in science.

High school results are more mixed. Sunset High School (#47 of 271) beats Westview High School (#65) in ELA, math, graduation rate (95.4% vs. 91.1%), and absenteeism, while Westview is stronger only in science and much larger. Both exceed state and district graduation rates, but math is a weak spot at this level. Chronic absenteeism climbs sharply from elementary (about 16.6%) to high school (about 33.1%). Notably, spending and class size don't predict results here — Terra Linda spends the most with the smallest classes yet ranks #108, while Stoller spends the least and remains a top-4% middle school.
