Walker Middle School is a mid-sized school of 571 students serving grades 6–8 on the west side of Salem, Oregon, as part of Salem-Keizer School District 24J. The district itself sits at the 26th percentile statewide (1 star), but Walker performs well above that, ranking at roughly the 63rd percentile of 371 ranked Oregon middle schools (3 stars). About 88.6% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, in line with every other district-run middle school nearby.

Walker beats its district by double digits in English language arts (46.0% proficient vs. 34.5%) and math (35.0% vs. 24.1%), and edges the state in both.
