Harrison Park School is a grades 6–8 middle school at 2225 SE 87th Ave in outer southeast Portland, enrolling 372 students and serving as the smallest of the eleven middle schools in this comparison group — part of Portland School District 1J, a district ranked 12th of 141 in Oregon.

The headline here is a striking, sustained turnaround. For most of the past decade Harrison Park sat in the bottom third of Oregon middle schools — 1 star and the 30th percentile in 2022-23 — then jumped to the 72nd percentile with 4 stars in 2023-24 and has held in the mid-70s for three straight years. In 2025-26, proficiency was 50.2% in English language arts, 43.0% in math, and 37.2% in science, above Oregon in every subject.
