Open Quote We continue to have a fantastic experience. Both children are thriving academically and socially, school lunches are amazing, and the school community is wonderfully supportive. We are lucky to have a great school like this in Damascus; the school is a catalyst for many great programs in our community, including: community education, Damascus Farmer's Market, and helping local seniors with food scarcity to receive regular deliveries of school farm produce. Open Quote My family along with several other family's had a horrible experience at this school. I felt like there was inconsistency and a lack of supporting students, also continuing to let students move along with out the basic skills they need in order to move along. Montessori is an amazing theory and I love it, but when done incorrectly chaos occurs and stress within students and teachers make for an unpleasant environment! when a new school has such a high turn over rate...theirs a problem! I hope they get it together for the sake of the children. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
