ZIP code 97080 covers 13 schools — eight elementary, three middle, and two high schools — serving 6,826 students, most of them in Gresham-Barlow School District 10J, with two elementary schools in Centennial School District 28J, in an area where poverty indicators run high: free and reduced lunch averages 84.75% and no school falls below 81%.

Only four schools rank at or above the 50th percentile. East Orient Elementary School is the strongest overall, with the ZIP's highest ELA proficiency (56.0%) and math (37.8%) plus the lowest chronic absenteeism (26.0%). Pleasant Valley Elementary School posts the top elementary math and science scores (42.7% and 36.1%) despite 95.73% free/reduced lunch and the highest per-student spending ($21,799).
