Medford School District 549C serves about 13,666 students across 24 listed schools — 16 elementary, 4 middle, 3 high, and 1 alternative — in the Medford area of southern Oregon. The district as a whole sits mid-pack statewide (rank 71 of 141, 3 stars), but performance from school to school is far more varied than that single rating suggests, so parents should look closely at the individual school their child would attend.

At the top, Hoover Elementary School is the clear standout: 91st percentile among Oregon elementaries, 5 stars, with ELA at 64.9%, math at 63.4%, science at 70.1%, and chronic absenteeism of just 17.0% — all despite a free/reduced lunch rate of 86.97%. Jacksonville Elementary School (84th percentile), Lone Pine Elementary School (73rd), Abraham Lincoln Elementary (70th), and Ruch Outdoor Community School (63rd) also perform well above district averages. Among middle schools, Hedrick Middle School is the strongest large option, and Logos Charter School posts the district's highest graduation rate at 97.0%.
