Walnut Elementary School is a PK–5 school in Ashville, OH, serving 469 students as part of Teays Valley Local, a district that ranks 168th of 773 Ohio districts (78th percentile, 4 stars). In 2025–26 the school ranked 499th of 1,560 elementary schools — the 68th percentile, with 3 stars. That is still above the state median, but a big step down from 2022–23, when Walnut ranked 55th of 1,596 at the 97th percentile with 5 stars. The decline has been steady over several years.
