Pleasant Middle School is a public middle school in Marion, OH serving grades 5–8 with 438 students, part of the Pleasant Local district in a largely rural part of central Ohio. In 2025–26 it ranked 531st of 1,046 Ohio middle schools (49th percentile, 2 stars) — solidly mid-pack, but marking a steady multi-year slide. The school sat at the 74th percentile as recently as 2022–23 and the 78th percentile in 2015–16, falling from 4 stars to 2 stars.

Academically, results are uneven. Strengths in 2025–26 include Algebra I (100% proficient, versus 61.6% statewide), 5th grade ELA (77.7%) and science (69.1%), 8th grade math (63.2%, above Cardington-Lincoln Middle School at 60.9%, Mt Gilead Middle School at 57.3%, and River Valley Middle School at 41.9%), and 5th grade math (61.7%).
