Open Quote Students do well because most of them come from high socioeconomic homes, have professionals as parents and are well-prepared when they come to school. The teachers and administrators at CVMS are no better or worse than most of the teachers in the Mahoning-Trumbull County areas. In fact, some of the teachers are decidedly substandard. Discipline is good in the school, though. That helps a lot. There is a moderate amount of discrimination based on who you are and who you know, what your name is, etc. Canfield tends to be a very snobbish community and this is reflected in the schools.
