Perry High School is a mid-sized public high school serving 509 students in grades 9–12 in Perry, Ohio, roughly 25 miles east of Cleveland in Lake County, and it is the only high school in the Perry Local district.

Perry High School is a top-decile Ohio school: it ranks 66th of 795 high schools statewide (92nd percentile) with a five-star rating, after a decade-long climb from the 73rd percentile in 2015–16. It is the academic engine of its district, with the high school ranking above Perry Local as a whole (92nd vs. 84th percentile). Among nearby schools, it trails only Chardon High School (97th percentile) and outranks Mentor High School (85th), Riverside Junior/Senior High School (64th), Madison High School (52nd), Geneva High School (41st), and Harvey High School (14th). Perry beats the state by about 21.5 points across End-of-Course exams, with particular strength in Biology (89.8%), Algebra I (89.9%), and American History (90.4%). Algebra I is nearly 18 points above Mentor High School and 21 points above Riverside Junior/Senior High School. English II (79.4%) and Geometry (72.3%) are softer spots. Perry also has the lowest chronic absenteeism in its comparison group at 17.9%, and, in 2018–19 data, spends more per student ($13,373) with a favorable student–teacher ratio of 17.4.

The main watch items are attendance and equity. Chronic absenteeism has drifted up from 14.7% in 2023–24 to 17.9% in 2025–26, now exceeding the district average of 14.6%. Over two years, special education students fell from the 94th to the 60th percentile, and low-socioeconomic-status students fell from the 96th to the 63rd percentile, even as free/reduced-lunch eligibility nearly doubled from 14.31% to 28.09%.
