London High School serves about 635 students in grades 9–12 in London, Ohio, and is part of the London City district — a mid-sized school that is larger than most surrounding rural high schools but smaller than suburban Westland and Hilliard Bradley. In 2025–2026 it ranked 368th of 795 Ohio high schools — the 54th percentile with 3 stars — notably stronger than the district overall (471st of 773, or the 39th percentile, 2 stars). Its trend has been generally positive: after falling to the 37th percentile in 2021–2022, it rose to the 56th percentile in 2023–2024 and has stayed in the mid-50s since. It remains below its earlier peak in the 73rd–76th percentile range in 2016–2017 and 2017–2018, but has moved from 2-star to 3-star territory.

Academically, London met or beat the state proficiency average in all six 2025–2026 End-of-Course subjects, with its strongest margins in Biology (14.6 points above the state) and Geometry (10.5 points above). Math is the clearest positive trend: Geometry climbed from 31.3% to 53.8% over four years, and Algebra I jumped from 48.1% to 65.8% in a single year. Graduation is a standout — 99.4% in 2025–2026, second only to Southeastern Senior High School's 100% among nearby schools and higher than Jonathan Alder High School (98.7%), West Jefferson High School (98.8%), Madison-Plains High School (97.0%), Hilliard Bradley High School (92.5%), and Westland High School (89.7%).

The biggest red flag is chronic absenteeism: 25.9% in 2025–2026, above the district's 22.7% and higher than every nearby traditional school except Northeastern Middle/High School (30.9%) and Westland. There has been improvement from 30.7% in 2022–2023, but the gap with the district widened. Low-income students are the clearest subgroup gap, ranking in the 37th percentile versus the school's overall 54th. The closest traditional peer, Madison-Plains High School (8.23 miles), ranks higher overall at the 64th percentile but has a lower graduation rate (97.0%) and much lower Geometry proficiency (32.2% vs. 53.8%). The nearest school of any type, Buckeye Community School - London (1.55 miles), is an alternative school with very different outcomes. London's student-teacher ratio improved to 17.1 in 2024–2025.
