As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I enrolled my only daughter at Como for kindergarten this year, because it was the only full-day kindergarten within our power to send her to - we were set to send her to Dublin schools until we found out they only had a 3 hour a day kindergarten. I have to say there are some things that bother me about this school. First of all, my daughter's teacher seems to be absent quite frequently, and the children are constantly having substitutes or teachers' aides teaching the class. Secondly, the dismissal procedures are a train wreck every single day - while the little kids are expected to single file out to a number on the playground to stand in the cold, the older children are running through the lines and out the same doors willy-nilly however they please, and parents who are supposed to be standing back so the kids can get out the door are all in the middle of the lines grabbing kids. IT IS RIDICULOUS. Also, the times for things are always changing, such as the first day of school - first we had to be there at 9, then 9:30, then 8:45, then it was 9:20 - I mean I know there can be extenuating circumstances, but please. Disorganization seems rampant. One day back in mid-October, I saw a girl who was probably around 12 years old screaming, cussing, and KICKING another student, a boy, who was a little smaller than her, and who was supposedly picking on her - this happened about 5 feet from the side door where the children exit - and nothing happened - no consequences - the two kids got up and walked off in separate directions. I am sorry but that should have been addressed - if you are going to let older kids and children who don't attend the school on your school grounds, they should be properly supervised. There are always groups of kids outside before the bell rings to signal the end of the school day - whether they got out of class early somehow or are from other schools, I don't know. They have free breakfast every morning, but I absolutely cannot convince my daughter to go. She went for about a week, then refused, saying she didn't know when to get up and go get her food, if she went out of order they yelled at her and told her to go sit back down, and that she never had time to eat anything because they were always the last ones called up to get their food - how does it make sense to make the smallest children, who generally take the longest to eat, wait until last to get their breakfast? They also only get 15 minutes to eat lunch - can anyone show me a 6 year old who eats as much as they should in 15 minutes - especially with all their friends around? Their school day runs from 9:30 til 3:45 - I think they could afford more than 15 minutes of that day for lunch. Jesus. Well, anyway, don't send your kids here if you can help it - I won't be next year. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
