Aiken New Technical High School is a grades 9–12 school in Cincinnati, Ohio, serving 1,226 students as part of Cincinnati Public Schools, a district ranked 609th of 773 in Ohio. Aiken itself ranks 729th of 795 Ohio high schools for 2025–2026, placing it in the 8th percentile with 0 stars. That is not a one-year dip: from 2015–2016 through 2025–2026, its statewide percentile stayed between 7 and 13, with star ratings almost always 0 or 1.

Aiken's most striking challenge is attendance. In 2025–2026, 73.8% of students were chronically absent, far above the district's 44.6% and roughly double the rates at James N. Gamble Montessori High School (37.8%), Colerain High School (38.3%), and Finneytown Secondary Campus - Middle and High School (36.0%). Wyoming High School sits at 18.9%. Only Woodward Career Technical High School (81.0%) is higher nearby. Aiken's graduation rate was 80.7% in 2025–2026, down from 90.0% the year before and below nearly every nearby school except Transitions Academy (78.6%).

On 2025–2026 End-of-Course tests, Aiken trailed district and state averages in every subject: American Government 53.3%, American History 42.0%, Biology 36.9%, English II 26.8%, Algebra I 30.0%, and Geometry 11.1% — lower than every nearby school except Transitions Academy (9.5%). Still, several subjects have improved since 2023–2024, including American Government (up from 25.2%) and Algebra I (up from 19.7%), and Aiken outscored Woodward Career Technical High School in Government, Biology, and English II and Mt Healthy High School in Government, Biology, and Algebra I. Subgroup results are uneven: English Language Learner students rose to the 37th percentile and homeless students to the 46th percentile, while gifted and talented students remained at 0–4th percentile.
