Sachem High School East's high per-student spending and relatively low student-teacher ratio suggest that the school is well-resourced, which may be a factor in its academic success. However, the school faces challenges, such as rising chronic absenteeism, which the district should investigate and address to further improve student outcomes.

Open Quote Sachem East is very bias when dealing with the different races of students. There's no real consequence for bullying by staff or students. Teachers will allow your child to fail without giving you as a parent any warning or communicating that there is a problem. There are multiple safety issues (ie. Physical altercations, cyber bullying, usage of paraphernalia on school grounds). Sachem school district as a whole have a lot of kinks to work out in order to call themselves one of the best school districts. Close Quote
