Elko, Nevada has 11 schools serving roughly 4,954 students, spanning elementary, middle, high school, alternative, and early-childhood settings. Most are in the Elko district, which ranks 6th of 12 in Nevada at the 50th percentile with 3 stars. The clearest exception is Elko Institute for Academic Achievement (EIAA), a charter in State Sponsored Charter Schools, ranked 2nd of 12 with 5 stars. Independence High School is a small correctional school in the Correctional School District, and Early Childhood GBC enrolls 20 PK–K students. Where the state reports a suppressed score ("—"), treat it as unknown rather than as a weakness.

EIAA is the top academic standout: 93rd percentile and 5 stars, with All-Grades SBAC proficiency above the district and state in every reported subject — math 61.6%, reading 68.1%, and science 52.5% — plus the lowest reported chronic absenteeism at 17.3%.
