Janet Kahn Fine Arts Academy is a PK–8 school serving 389 students on Indian School Road NE in Albuquerque, part of Albuquerque Public Schools, and the largest of the eleven nearby schools it is usually compared with — one of only two in that group that continues past 5th grade. Inside the building, results split sharply by grade. Sixth and seventh graders beat both district and state in ELA and math — 6th grade 51.85% and 7th grade 52.38% in ELA — while grades 3 through 5 and 8th grade fall below. That upper-middle-grade strength is the only place the school exceeds its benchmarks, and the 8th-grade figures appear to rest on a small number of students. Overall results have improved in absolute terms since 2022–23, but district and state scores rose too, so the school's percentile rank slipped from 30th to 16th.
