As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Unity used to be a great place for students and their families, but we have seen a continual downward spiral under the current Director and Administration. Sure, she'll rave about how she saved the school from financial ruin, but she won't tell you how many teachers and students and their parents have left due to her terrible communication skills and blatant lies. Don't expect to have a voice (as the Charter states), don't expect the learning to be personalized to your child (as the Charter states), don't expect the frequent hands-on experiential learning (as the Charter states) any more than your local district school offers, and certainly don't expect the Board of Trustees to have your back. Open Quote Unity is an amazing school centered around sustainability. Kids are taught to advocate for themselves and each other. They have learned a tremendous amount. In the many years we have been there, the administration works closely with all social and emotional issues that arise. There is virtually no bullying and when there are issues among students they are dealt with in a respectful and timely manner. Close Quote

Open Quote Our children are so happy at this school. They are very different people and the school treats them as individuals. They have a love of learning, a wonderful social life, and are encouraged to follow their passions. Close Quote

Open Quote Amazing school!! My child has had an AMAZING experience here! She learned so much in her 9 years attending. She learned to work in a group and independently. Don't listen to anyone that says anything else. She had a smooth transition from Unity to the local high school. She had no problem making friends and has such great confidence. The relationship between the staff and the students is something you won't find at your local school. They challenge you in a perfect way, they never push you beyond your limits. Forever grateful for this fantastic school!! Close Quote

Open Quote They have no real control and organization of their school right now and are looking to expand.
They can name their discilpline style however they want but there is not real discipline at the end.
Even that we understand their mission of sustainability seems that is more important than basic education, discipline and worst of all more than safety. Research as much as possible and you will find sooooo many bullying cases not notified to the State and are negligent to act properly and even as mandate by the State. Many parents feel trap because their kids have their friends already there and not wanting any stress for their kids they just stay. Do a favor to your kids, DON'T MOVE THEM HERE. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
