Coe-Brown is one of New Hampshire’s strongest high schools, ranking 12th of 89 statewide and earning a four-star rating. Only Oyster River High School ranks slightly higher among the nearby schools. By comparison, Raymond High School ranks 36th, Epping High School ranks 40th, and Pittsfield High School ranks 61st. The school’s completion results are especially strong: 98.8% of students graduated in 2024–2025, compared with 87.0% statewide, while the dropout rate was just 0.5%. Graduation has remained close to 99% for several years.

Academically, Coe-Brown’s biggest strengths are reading and science. The latest proficiency rates were 79% in reading and 68% in science, exceeding state averages by 24 and 30 percentage points, respectively. Its science result was the highest among the comparison schools and 15 points above Oyster River. SAT results were also well above state averages, particularly in reading. Mathematics is the main area to watch: proficiency fell from 60% in 2022–2023 to 41% most recently, slightly below the state average and 10 points behind Oyster River. CBNA is an excellent school. All of the people I have had contact with in administration are extremely pleasant, helpful, and supportive. The majority (95%) of the other staff are, also, extremely pleasant, helpful, and supportive. Everyone at CBNA truly cares about my child's success. It is not always "a bed of roses" but they work with me and CBNA is working out very well for my child. Close Quote

Both of my children graduated from CBNA. Fantastic experience for both. As a semiprivate school it is less prone to small town politics. Not immune of course, just less prone.

We found the administration and teachers to be excellent. Both went on to college and commented on how much better prepared they seemed to be than many of their college classmates.

Would recommend it to anyone looking for a challenging academic program. Close Quote
