Summary

Unity Elementary School is a very small public school in the Newport-area community of Unity, New Hampshire, serving 86 students in prekindergarten through eighth grade. Its current academic results are a significant concern: the school ranked 227th out of 230 New Hampshire schools for 2025–2026, placing it in the 1st percentile. Students reached proficiency at rates of 16% in mathematics, 22% in reading, and 11% in science, compared with statewide rates of 44%, 55%, and 38%. These results reflect a broad challenge across subjects rather than a problem limited to one grade or academic area.
