Nettleton Elementary School serves 215 students in grades 3 through 5 in Nettleton, MS, a small community in northeastern Mississippi, and is part of the Nettleton School District, which also includes Nettleton Primary School for grades K-2.

The school has posted one of the biggest turnarounds in the region, climbing from the 36th percentile statewide in 2022-23 to the 69th percentile (3 stars) in 2025-26. This improvement shows up across nearly every subject and grade level. This stands out because 5th-grade science (74.7%) is above the state average, showing the same students are capable in other subjects. Chronic absenteeism, at 19.8%, is below the state average of 23.9% and has improved significantly, though it still trails several rural neighbors like Okolona Elementary School and Shannon Elementary School. For parents, Nettleton Elementary offers a small, personalized environment with strong early-grade instruction, but the 5th-grade math dip points to a need for targeted support as students move through the upper elementary years.
