As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This school is amazing! The new principal is awesome, he really seems to be there for the staff and the kids. The PTA and parent involvement is unbelievable. They work hard to make Meadowmere the best it can be! My kids teachers have been awesome! I'm proud to be a Meadowmere Meadowlark! Close Quote

Open Quote Don't bring your kids to Grandview! The schools only teach the MAP test.. which the kids continue to fail! We asked our son's 2nd grade teacher for a list of the objectives that he would be learning and she said, "What is that?" Needless to say.. he learns nothing. I have to supplement all the teaching at home, but he sure has watched a lot of movies at school. The teachers can't control the classrooms. The administration does not remove violent foul mouthed kids from the classrooms. Instead the teachers have to walk those kids around the school, holding their hands because those kids can't be trusted. The community is violent and many parents and kids don't care about education at all. The only store is a price chopper with an armed guard. If you want to go to the new playground, take your kids early in the day before the older kids close in on it and you have to listen to them talking about having sex in the woods and gunning down their classmates. Run don't walk from this town! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
