Open Quote Our children have loved the teachers at this school. They are proud of their school and our older children were well prepared for middle school. The school definitely feels like a caring community. Close Quote

Open Quote I can see that the test scores give this school a bad rap - but here's the thing: the staff here is unparalleled in the district. The building might be a bit older than the others, the way the district has chosen to zone the school, may also mean that lots of underserved kids are having some struggles here - but that's not the whole story. Our daughter has been a bit of a high flier - reading well above grade average, and doing well in math as well. The staff here knows EACH KID so well, they care about each child so much and really strive to give each learner what they need to succeed. We have three kids each of whom has attended a different elementary school in the district (two are older) - and if we had it to do all over agin - we would send them all here. It's diverse, loving, full of energy, and a truly beautiful place to be a kid. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
