Summary

Braham Area Secondary serves 354 students in grades 7–12 and is the only secondary campus in the Braham Public School District, located in the small town of Braham, Minnesota (population about 1,700). The school ranked 215th of 473 Minnesota high schools in 2025–26 — the 55th percentile, 3 stars — while the district overall ranked 173rd of 458 (62nd percentile), a gap suggesting the elementary grades are lifting the district's numbers. The clearest bright spot is completion: 93.7% of students graduated in 2024–25, well above the state's 84.9% and higher than every nearby school, including larger campuses such as Cambridge-Isanti High School, Mora High School, and Pine City Secondary.

Academics are more mixed. Math is the weak point: 31.7% of students were proficient in 2025–26, 13.2 points below the state's 44.9% and behind Mora High School, Pine City Secondary, and Rush City Secondary. Reading (44.1%) is the strongest core subject, only 4.5 points under the state, while science (26.3%) slightly edges the state average. The math drag is concentrated in 8th and 11th grades, where Braham loses roughly 12–13 points to the state; 7th-grade math is essentially at the state line.
