Adams Elementary is a PK–5 neighborhood school in Coon Rapids, MN, serving 454 students as part of the Anoka-Hennepin School District. In 2025–26, its proficiency rates were 32.4% in math, 31.5% in reading, and 11.1% in science, all well below district and state averages. The school has held a 1-star rating every year since 2018–19 and ranks 716th of 869 Minnesota elementary schools (18th percentile).

Compared with nearby schools in the same district, Adams posts the lowest math proficiency. Hamilton Elementary, just 2.6 miles away, has a higher poverty rate (65.2% vs. 61.7%) yet outperforms Adams by about 10 points in math and 21 points in reading, ranking 47th percentile. Madison Elementary, Monroe Elementary – MSE, and University Avenue Elementary – Aero also score higher despite similar or larger class sizes.
