Winsted Elementary is a PK–4 public school in Winsted, Minnesota—about 45 miles west of Minneapolis in McLeod County—serving 213 students as one of two elementaries in the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted district.

Winsted’s 2025–26 profile is math-strong and reading-weak. It ranks 551st of 869 Minnesota elementary schools (37th percentile, 2 stars). In math, 49.4% of students met standards, above the district’s 33.0% and the state’s 44.9%. In reading, 39.2% met standards, below the district’s 45.2% and the state’s 48.6%.
