NRHEG Secondary is a public school serving 408 students in grades 6–12 in the small southern Minnesota community of New Richland, part of the NRHEG School District. In 2025–2026 it ranked 305th of 473 Minnesota schools (36th percentile, 2 stars), while its district ranked 320th of 458 (30th percentile, 2 stars). The school's rank has been volatile — 65th percentile in 2015–2016, 29th in 2023–2024, 48th in 2024–2025, and 36th in 2025–2026. Compared with nearby comprehensive high schools, NRHEG stands out for completion outcomes but trails on test proficiency. Its 2024–2025 graduation rate of 96.4% beat the state's 84.9% and topped Owatonna Senior High (93.7%), Albert Lea Senior High (89.0%), United South Central High School (88.4%), and Waseca Senior High (91.3%); only Alden-Conger Secondary was slightly higher at 96.9%.
