Pearson Elementary stands out as the stronger-performing school, with significantly higher math proficiency rates compared to Wheaton Secondary. In 2024-2025, 64.56% of Pearson Elementary students were proficient or better in MCA-III Math, while only 24.42% of Wheaton Secondary students achieved that level. Pearson Elementary has also seen steady improvements in its statewide ranking, moving from 525th out of 881 Minnesota elementary schools in 2023-2024 to 317th out of 872 in 2024-2025, while maintaining a 3-star rating.
