Faribault Public School District covers eight schools serving roughly 2,992 students: three elementary schools, two middle schools, and three high schools. Enrollment is about 1,253 in the elementary grades, 603 in the middle grades, and 1,136 in high school. The district overall ranks 409th of 458 in Minnesota — the 11th percentile — with a 1-star rating.
Among the standouts, Roosevelt Early Learning Center posted the strongest reading and science results in 2024-2025, including 5th-grade reading at 66.13%, above the state's 57.09%. Lincoln Elementary led elementary math in 2025-2026 at 23.8%, ahead of Jefferson Elementary at 21.7% and the district's 16.8%, though its science was 11.4%, far below the state's 25.5%. Faribault Senior High, the largest school at 956 students, had the highest current rank percentile at 23, a 79.1% graduation rate, and a 7.1% dropout rate. At the other end, Faribault Area Learning Center reported 0% math and science proficiency, 9.5% reading, a 32.6% graduation rate, and a 23.0% dropout rate, while Faribault Middle had the lowest reported science proficiency at 6.4%.
