New Prague, Minnesota is served by six schools in the New Prague Area Schools district — three elementary, one middle, and two high schools — with about 3,449 students enrolled. The district ranks 114 of 458 Minnesota districts (75th percentile, 4 stars). Its overall results are strong: a 95.0% graduation rate vs. the state’s 84.9%, a 1.8% dropout rate vs. 4.2%, and 2025–26 proficiency above the state in Math (56.8% vs. 44.9%), Reading (51.7% vs. 48.6%), and Science (30.9% vs. 25.5%).

Among ranked schools, New Prague Middle School has the highest 2025–26 rank percentile at 87 (4 stars), with Math 58.0% and Reading 55.8%, both above district and state, though Science is 18.0%. New Prague Senior High is also strong at 86th percentile (4 stars), with a 95.0% graduation rate and 1.6% dropout rate; its Math and Science are excellent, but Reading is 42.2%, below district and state. In the PK–5 group, Falcon Ridge (62nd percentile) outperforms Raven Stream Elementary (52nd), especially in Reading: 53.6% vs. 45.6% All Grades. Central Education Campus is a small PK–8 school (105 students) with no test or rank data and the lowest student/teacher ratio (13.8). Compass Learning Center is a small 6–12 school (42 students) with a 93.3% graduation rate, 6.6% dropout rate, and 45.24% Free/Reduced Lunch; its test scores are suppressed by the state.

Parents should compare schools by subject and grade level, because results are uneven. High school Math and Science are standout areas, while high school Reading is the biggest academic concern. Science splits sharply: the senior high is at 54.7%, but middle and elementary All Grades Science is around 18–20%; at grade level, 8th-grade Science is 18.0% vs. state 16.7%, while 5th-grade Science is 19.2–19.8% vs. state 25.9%. The middle school remains high-performing but its rank has slipped from 95 to 90 to 87, and the senior high rebounded from 84 to 86 but is below its 2023–24 peak of 95. Free/Reduced Lunch does not show a simple relationship with achievement here, and suppressed scores mean unknown, not zero. Small schools like Compass can have volatile year-to-year rates.
