As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Love this school! The principal lives in the village he really cares about the kids and the community. Its a growing village, small town feel but with all the amenities of a bigger area. NHE has technology, safe and up to date facilities, experienced teachers. They offer all the specials, 2 huge playgrounds, safe location, tucked away in a nice neighborhood. Family oriented, parent volunteers welcomed, large library, nice new gym. They offer arts, music, ipads and chromebooks. Nice office staff, welcoming of all, diverse and inclusive. Close Quote

Open Quote This district has come a long way over the past several years. I moved my kids from the local charter school to New Haven this past fall and have been nothing but happy with our choice. The technology is up-to-date, the staff is caring and involved, and the other families are friendly and social. Academically my kids have been challenged and excelled. MEAP scores reflect the positive changes New Haven has made. Close Quote

Open Quote The teachers at New Haven Elementary often go over and beyond because they truly care about their students. It's a wonderful district despite the reputation it has been given. It is a small town community and your child is not a needle in a hay stack! My two youngest have been in this district from preschool/kindergarten and they both are a grade level above in reading and math. This is also echoed by their meap scores as well. Don't knock it unless you've given them a chance. This district is on it's way up improving each year and my children are a testimony and result of that! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
