Open Quote If there was a school that cared about their students' anymore than Twinbrook Elementary, it wouldn't be labeled as such; it would be considered as a HOME and a FAMILY. It is the kind of reassurance that you can't put a value on. Especially when it comes to our children. The teachers' and staff members provide a very nurturing atmosphere where, regardless of each child's strengths and/or weaknesses, each individual can develop at a pace and rate that both the parents and students are comfortable. Twinbrook Elementary has everything a parent could ask for. An adaptive, professional and forward thinking administration. A staff of teachers and para-educators alike that provide just the right blend of subject learning and personality specific attention that their student body needs. Before and after school care programs and activities that so strongly influence our young and enable their parents to carry on a manageable work schedule are available as well. Long story short, I just want to say thank you TWINBROOK. Not sure where the name came from, but this school is certainly more unique than it would indicate. There really is only one, and I couldn't be prouder of the school's efforts and my confidence in their ability to develop and mentor.

I would like to also extend appreciation and specifically acknowledge Ms. Lia Williams for the strength of her efforts and the genuine personality and care she exhibits everyday. Mongtomery County, Twinbrook, I and our children are very lucky to have her. Close Quote

Open Quote Twinbrook ES, is a school where the majority of the Latino parents do not get involved with their children school learning upbringing. I personally believe that the school is not doing enough to interest parents with language barriers and cultural differences to change this behavior and therefore I attribute this chronic reality to the lack of professional leadership in the areas of cultural awareness and ethnicity relationship, starting with the Principal. The negative developmental growth among all children in grades K-5th centers initially around the shortage of an adequate budget in a moderate-to-low income neighborhood and poor management from educational leaders. About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
