Narragansett Regional High is a public school in rural Baldwinville in north-central Massachusetts, serving 492 students in grades 8–12 as the only high school in the Narragansett district. In 2025-26 it ranked 264th of 353 Massachusetts schools (25th percentile, 1 star), slightly ahead of its own district, which ranks 280th of 351 — the school's lowest standing of the past decade, after years spent mostly in the 35th–59th percentile range.

Test scores are the concern. On 2025-26 MCAS, Narragansett Regional High was below the state on every reported measure: 10th-grade ELA 27.91% proficient vs. 45.48% statewide, math 26.51% vs. 43.73%, and science 27.38% vs. 40.50%. The sharpest weakness is 8th-grade math, at 10.62% proficient against a state rate of 41.67% — a roughly 31-point gap. Nearby, Oakmont Regional High School and Quabbin Regional High School score higher, and Gardner High edges Narragansett in 10th-grade ELA and math while spending less per student and running larger classes.
