The clearest good news is momentum. The school’s rank climbed from 18th percentile in 2022–2023 to 40th percentile in 2025–2026 — its strongest showing in the past decade. The 2024–2025 graduation rate rose to 94.0%, up from 83.9% the year before, and the dropout rate fell to 3.2% from 7.7% and 11.1% in the prior two years. Those figures beat the district and are stronger than Framingham High School (75.7% graduation, 15.6% dropout), Hudson High (88.7%, 5.9%) and Maynard High (91.5%, 7.3%), though they trail Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High, Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School, Westborough High and others.

Academically, grade-10 MCAS results in ELA, math and science sit below state averages by roughly 6–10 percentage points, only slightly above district results. Biology End of Course is a bright spot at 54.29% proficient, above the state’s 37.68%, while Physics End of Course is a severe weakness at 16.47%, far below the state’s 46.58% and Assabet Valley Vocational High School’s 95.83%. Subgroup results vary widely: special education rose to the 60th percentile, while English Language Learner effectiveness fell to the 25th percentile. Spending was $20,329 per student in 2020–2021, higher than several neighbors, even as test outcomes remain below many of them.
